One day at a time

I think I’m turning a corner now. I don’t feel an emotional wreck anymore, at the point of tears all the time. Today, I would say I’m more just numb, feeling nothing, but that’s better than bereft and full of despair! Saw a couple of quotes on FB over the weekend which struck a chord:
“It’s a good thing that some doors close, it makes the right door more obvious” and “If you don’t leave your past in the past, it will destroy your future. Live for what today has to offer, not for what yesterday has taken away”. Shame Rob didn’t take heed of the second one before getting in touch in the first place, but hey ho, he’s in the past again now.
Family wise, we had our film night on Saturday which James loved and though Tom has managed to visit the pub every day for the last 5 days, we have got on well so I’m living for today and just taking it one day at a time.
